Join NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) and help shape the future of specialist patient services across England and Wales. As a Service Development Manager within Therapeutic Apheresis Services (TAS), youll play a vital role in delivering improvements that support patients, colleagues and healthcare partners. Working as part of the TAS Management Team, youll lead national programmes that introduce new technologies and services, improve ways of working, standardise best practice and strengthen service performance.

duties of the job
Lead national improvement and development projects that help deliver better outcomes for patients and strengthen Therapeutic Apheresis Services across the NHS, including the planning and delivery of new TAS units. Lead the planning and implementation of new services and patient pathways working with operational teams, clinical colleagues and external partners. Build strong relationships across NHSBT and partner organisations including with Trusts, commercial customers, commissioners and suppliers to influence decisions, secure engagement and deliver successful change programmes.
Help shape the future direction of TAS by contributing to strategic planning, service development and organisational priorities. Analyse complex information, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that enhance quality, efficiency and performance. Develop and present business cases to senior managers to secure investment in the development of TAS services. Lead and support multidisciplinary project teams, creating an inclusive environment where people can contribute, learn and succeed.
Analyse risks and impacts of change initiatives. Monitor project progress, manage risks, drive timely delivery, and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Influence, motivate, and support colleagues, to foster engagement in change initiatives. Provide service development support to local TAS units.
