Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where people and performance come first? Join our team as a Traffic Manager based at Wandsworth Garage, to lead and inspire our team of drivers and garage staff, ensuring operational excellence and outstanding service delivery every day.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Traffic Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operation:

  • Leading, motivating and engaging drivers to maintain the highest standards of safety, conduct and performance
  • Overseeing staff attendance, welfare, and professional development
  • Managing sickness and absence procedures, probation, inductions and exit processes
  • Conducting route risk assessments and monitoring road safety performance
  • Liaising with Trade Union reps, senior managers, and colleagues to drive staff quality standards and accident prevention
  • Ensuring payroll accuracy and contract compliance through strong administrative oversight
  • Handling public enquiries, lost property, and community correspondence with professionalism
  • Maintaining a strong focus on Health & Safety at all times

This is achallenging but rewarding leadership role, where your ability to balance people management with operational delivery will directly impact the success of our garages.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in thebus, transport, or logistics industry
  • Strong people management skills with proven ability to handle performance issues
  • In-depth knowledge of platform staff rules, company discipline, and attendance procedures
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Financial awareness, with the ability to interpret and act on KPIs
  • Solid IT skills (Windows, MS Word, Excel)
  • A strong grasp of Health & Safety standards – IOSH or NEBOSH desirable
  • Management CPC (or willingness to work towards it)
