The role will be integral to the management of the CAS clinical workforce and the post holder will work within the senior management team to deliver, improve and design innovative service delivery models as part of the growth and expansion of the IUC within LAS and the wider London system.
The post holder will be the first line manager for the Clinical Team Navigators within the CAS as well as for the GPs and ACPs, working in conjunction with the CAS GP leads.
There will be a requirement, as part of the role, to provide 24/7 clinical oversight on an on- call basis.
This is a rewarding challenge affording you the opportunity to learn new skills and further utilise your clinical expertise and management skills., As one of the Deputy General Managers you will be responsible for the delivery of KPIs and for implementing plans to improve them. You will be responsible for quality assurance and governance, as well as the day to day and long term management of your team.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, whilst making autonomous clinical and operational decisions.
As part of the role, you will be responsible for maintaining patient safety by managing and balancing the risk across all areas of the CAS queue, ensuring that appropriate skilled clinicians deliver a safe, effective and efficient 24/7 service to patients.
You will need to be a registered Nurse or Paramedic with previous or current experience working as a Navigator within a Clinical Assessment Service. You will also require a current clinical decision software qualification.
