Group Marketplace Manager

Group Marketplace Manager | Online Retailer | Competitive Salary | 12 Month FTC
We are partnering with an established online retailer to recruit a  Group Marketplace Manager  to take ownership of its marketplace and dropship proposition, driving commercial growth, profitability and operational performance across the group.
This is a senior, commercially focused role with  P&L responsibility  and accountability for marketplace strategy, supplier growth, trading performance and the customer proposition. The  Group Marketplace Manager  will lead teams across New Business, Account Management and Compliance, while working closely with Technology, Trading, Finance, Marketing and Operations.
The  Group Marketplace Manager  will play a key role in scaling the proposition, developing the supplier base, improving seller performance and expanding marketplace and retail media revenue.

Key Responsibilities
Own the marketplace and dropship  strategy, P&L and commercial performance .

Drive growth across GMV, revenue, margin, seller productivity and customer proposition.

Lead the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from  sourcing and onboarding through to account management and growth .

Develop and deliver the seller acquisition strategy, identifying new categories, brands and commercial opportunities.

Lead and develop teams across New Business, Account Management and Compliance.

Build a high-performing marketplace operation with clear ownership, KPIs and governance.

Work closely with Trading, Ecommerce, Technology, Finance, Marketing and Operations to improve marketplace performance.

Lead relationships with key marketplace and technology partners, including  Mirakl and Virtualstock .

Drive improvements across range, conversion, availability, fulfilment and customer experience.

Own the development of the marketplace  retail media and advertising proposition , growing supplier-funded revenue opportunities.

Provide clear commercial performance, risks and recommendations to senior leadership.

Key Requirements
Significant senior experience across  marketplace, ecommerce, dropship or digital retail .

Proven ownership of a  P&L or significant revenue stream , with a track record of delivering profitable growth.

Strong understanding of marketplace models, including  seller acquisition, onboarding, account management and performance management .

Experience building and scaling a supplier/vendor ecosystem.

Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a commercially focused environment.

Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Experience managing marketplace, ecommerce or technology partners.

Mirakl experience  would be highly advantageous.

Experience across retail media or digital advertising monetisation would be beneficial.

Analytical and commercially rigorous, with the ability to turn data into clear actions.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, balancing growth, customer experience and operational control.
