Deputy Director of Rowing – Emanuel School

Emanuel School is seeking an exceptional rowing coach to take on the position of Deputy Director of Rowing and play a key role in the overall leadership, development and effective operation of Emanuel School Boat Club. The role combines coaching, athlete development, administration and logistical management, and the successful candidate will take direct responsibility for the coaching and development of the J15 Squad, while providing oversight and support to the J14 and J13 programmes.

Working under the direction of the Director of Rowing, the Deputy Director of Rowing will contribute to the effective management and development of the Boat Club and will play an active role in administration, race entries, event organisation and maintaining strong relationships with athletes, parents, staff and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute across all areas of the Boat Club and provide leadership, coordination and support to the wider coaching team.

This role is a full-time, year-round role with the requirement to work on Saturdays and occasional Sundays for coaching and fixtures.

• You will need a British Rowing Coach qualification or equivalent (Level
  2), or be willing to obtain this upon starting.
• You will also need a RYA Powerboat qualification or equivalent (Level
  2), or be willing to obtain this upon starting.
• The role also requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to drive a minibus to transport pupils to sporting fixtures.
• A good understanding of water safety and the safe delivery of rowing activities is equally important.
