The Council's community facilities are situated in the heart of Borough's thriving communities and play a crucial role in ensuring strong resident engagement and wellbeing. Foremost among the Council's community facilities is our flagship community centre on Priory Court Estate which provides a focus for community engagement and involvement. Working out of Priory Court Community Centre, as community facilities coordinator you would be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operational management of the centre ensuring it is well maintained and provides a welcoming environment for residents and other users.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver new and innovative projects to help build on and improve the current community provision. To succeed in this role you will have experience of facility/community centre management, preferably within a housing/ community neighbourhood management function, have a strong commercial awareness and be able to work collaboratively with residents and stakeholders., Undertake the day-to-day operational management and development of the Priory Court Community Centre and other housing community facilities.

Develop a sustainable model of community centre provision that meets the needs and aspirations of the local community and user groups. Ensure that facilities are kept to a high standard of cleanliness by managing and monitoring the work of the cleaning and caretaking staff Oversee hiring of all facilities and maximise income generation opportunities and ensure that hirers comply with all policies and procedures.,

  • Good standard of general education
  • Degree, diploma or similar qualification in a relevant technical or business discipline is desirable
