This is a fixed term contract until March 31st 2027.
As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of Community Housing Managers to deliver a responsive, customer-focused housing management service across a range of tenures. You will be responsible for driving performance against key targets and KPIs, ensuring customers receive excellent services that help sustain tenancies, improve neighbourhoods and create thriving communities.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll oversee core housing management activities including tenancy and leasehold management, anti-social behaviour, income recovery, customer engagement and estate management. You will ensure housing compliance, fire safety and estate-related risks are managed effectively and in line with landlord obligations. You'll also contribute to business planning, service improvement and policy development, while managing budgets and helping to deliver value for money across your area.

As a senior leader, you'll represent the business in strategic projects and deputise for regional leadership when required.

Essential Criteria       Hold a Level 4 qualification in Housing Management (or equivalent) or be willing to actively work towards achieving this qualification.
Significant experience managing housing services across multiple tenures, including tenancy management, leasehold services, anti-social behaviour and income recovery.
Demonstrable experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing operational teams.
Strong understanding of housing legislation, regulatory requirements, safeguarding responsibilities and estate management practices.

Experience of managing performance against KPIs, service budgets and continuous improvement initiatives.

You're skilled at building effective relationships with local authorities, social services and other partners, creating collaborative solutions that benefit customers and communities.
