Eden Recruitment has been entrusted with the appointment of an outstanding Private House Director to lead the pre-opening, launch and ongoing operation of an extraordinary private estate.

Currently under construction, this exceptional residence is being created to combine the operational excellence, attention to detail and intuitive service of the world's finest boutique hotels with the warmth, discretion and individuality of a private family home.

This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished leader to establish an estate's entire operational framework from the ground up. From recruiting and developing the household team to introducing service standards, overseeing the final stages of preparation and creating a seamless day-to-day operation, the successful candidate will play a defining role in bringing the Principal's vision to life.

We are particularly interested in individuals who bring a combination of luxury hospitality pre-opening experience and senior private household management, with the judgement to understand that exceptional private service must feel effortless, personal and entirely unobtrusive.

Reporting directly to the Principal and Family Office, the Private House Director will take overall responsibility for the estate's operational readiness and subsequent management.

This is a hands‑on leadership appointment requiring strategic oversight, exceptional organisational ability and an instinctive understanding of how to deliver the highest standards of service within a private residential environment.

• Lead the estate's operational pre-opening, overseeing the transition from construction and commissioning to a fully functioning private residence.
• Design and implement the household's operational structure, service philosophy, systems and procedures.
• Recruit, train and lead an exceptional multidisciplinary household team, establishing a culture of professionalism, discretion and consistently outstanding service.
• Oversee all aspects of estate operations, including housekeeping, guest services, property maintenance, security coordination and overall presentation.
• Develop a comprehensive Estate Operations Manual, incorporating service standards, operating procedures, preventative maintenance, emergency protocols and household systems.
• Work closely with the Principal, Family Office, architects, designers, consultants and contractors throughout the final construction and operational preparation phases.
• Establish and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers, specialist contractors and external service providers.
• Take responsibility for operational budgets, procurement, purchasing, inventory management and expenditure oversight.
• Coordinate private entertaining, family occasions and guest visits, ensuring every detail is considered and delivered seamlessly.
• Oversee ongoing property maintenance, improvement projects and the long‑term preservation of the estate.
• Anticipate the Principal's preferences and requirements, ensuring the residence operates with consistency, efficiency and complete discretion.
• Take full ownership of the estate's daily operation, maintaining exceptional standards while ensuring it always feels like a welcoming, comfortable and highly personalised home.
