Electronics Assembly Technician – TUALCOM
Position OverviewAs an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will play an important role in building sub‑assemblies and complete products to the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a mastery in hands‑on electromechanical assembly and wiring, using the relevant tools and equipment. You will have a proven record of maintaining uncompromised quality while working efficiently to maximise output capacity to meet demand.
WhyJoin?
TUALCOM specialises in the design and manufacturing of high‑technology RF navigation and communication systems. We are a global leader in commercially off‑the‑shelf products, offering the best performance for size, weight and cost on the market. TUALCOM’s UK operation has entered a new and critical phase with the launch of a UK production line to serve the high demand of our local clients.
We are therefore looking for experienced Electronics Assembly Technicians to join the team.
- Being part of a high‑performing, close‑knit team and achieving your potential through your work and commitment.
- Training & development opportunities, gaining new qualifications.
In this role, you’ll be hands‑on with the assembly of electronic boards and devices—soldering, bonding, fastening, and ensuring every build meets the highest quality standards. You’ll also run tests before and after assembly, keep accurate product records, and help manage inventory so the team always has what it needs. Beyond the bench, you’ll play your part in keeping the workspace safe and organised, support production targets, and step up when demand peaks.
It’s a varied role where precision, teamwork, and a commitment to doing things right really count.
To be open, honest, up‑front & transparent from the beginning, this position will be based 5 days per week in our Docklands Offices, London E14. We’re after someone with a solid background in electrical or electronic engineering—whether that’s through an apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or hands‑on experience. You’ll have proven experience working on precision electronic board and device assembly, with the dexterity and know-how to handle soldering, wiring, re‑working, epoxy, and ESD‑safe practices.
Being confident with technical drawings, build instructions, lab tools, and quality standards (IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑A‑620, IPC‑J‑STD‑001 or similar) is key. Just as important are the soft skills—you’ll be methodical, focused, and self‑driven with the highest of standards, but also a strong communicator and team player. Given the nature of our work, security clearance is required, so you’ll need to be able to undergo this.
Although not essential, it is highly beneficial if you have further electronics qualifications, ERP system experience, or are comfortable with Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
If you’ve got the technical know‑how, steady hands, and drive to be part of a high‑performing team, this is your chance to make a real impact on projects that matter. We’ll back you with training, development, and the opportunity to grow with a company that’s making its mark globally.
