Production Cell Leader Extrusion

Easily accessible location on the outskirts of Grantham | Easily accessible by public transport Mon-Thurs: 08:00-16:30 Fri: 08:30-13:00 This role is responsible for ensuring quality-approved extrusion products are manufactured and delivered on time. You will act as the single point of contact for production matters relating to extrusion manufacture, coordinating work within a defined production cell and reporting progress against plan.

This is a hands-on production role , focused on execution, control, and adherence to standards. Purpose of the Role Ensure quality-acceptable extrusion products are manufactured before the due date Act as the main point of contact within the business for production activity relating to extrusion manufacture Key Objectives Ensure all work within the production cell complies with company Health & Safety policies Ensure manufactured items meet defined quality and specification requirements Record and report Right First Time (RFT) performance and support year-on-year improvement Ensure service level targets are met through on-time manufacture, measured by Weekly Schedule Adherence (WSA) Ensure cost targets are achieved through effective use of labour and materials Identify and report labour and material variances against standard usage Key Tasks & Responsibilities Organise and carry out work within the production cell in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Deliver the weekly production schedule in line with schedule adherence targets Maintain accurate electronic records of work in progress Report production status daily at the direction-setting meeting (08:15 planning board), highlighting any constraints or risks to delivery Anticipate requirements for tools, dies, seals, materials, and ancillary services, and requisition in good time Maintain 5S standards within the production cell Record and report Right First Time (RFT) performance Ensure quarantined or rejected items are reworked promptly Measure and report material usage per job, including variance against standard Measure and report labour usage per job, including variance against standard
