Press Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to operate and maintain various types of pressing machinery. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Operate pressing machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust machinery for optimal performance, ensuring all parameters are met.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, following all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.

• Proficient in fabrication techniques and production processes.
• Experience operating coil fed presses or similar machines.
• Competence in materials handling and assembly operations.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
• Attention to detail – Ability to perform basic quality checks on components.

• Days;
  Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-13:00
• Standard 39 hours per week, £12.21 per hour basic + overtime paid at premium.
