Goods in Operative

Overview

We are looking for a Goods In Operative to join our busy Production Department. This role is essential in ensuring all incoming goods are received, checked, recorded, and stored correctly to support our production operations., Our people tell us you will be a great addition to the team if you can…

• Receive and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
• Check goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies
• Accurately book goods into the stock management system
• Label and store stock in the correct locations
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding shortages or issues
• Support stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records
• Keep the goods‑in area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
• Work accurately with strong attention to detail
• Stay organised in a fast‑paced production environment
• Take ownership of your tasks and work independently
• Be reliable, punctual, and proactive
• Previous experience in a warehouse, goods‑in, or production environment (preferred)
• Basic IT skills and confidence using stock systems
• Good numerical skills for checking quantities and documentation
• An understanding of health & safety in a warehouse or production setting
• A forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
