Location: On-site, Dagenham
Salary: £37,000 – £38,000 per year
Hours: 07:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

Competitive salary of £37k-£38k. Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00 – no nights or weekends. On-site role in Dagenham with structured hours.

We are recruiting for a leading materials handling and recycling business seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join their busy site. You will be a key part of the team, responsible for operating a range of machinery to safely move and manage materials, maintain stockpiles, load vehicles, and ensure yard operations run efficiently and safely.

• Carry out pre‑start checks on fixed and mobile plant, ensuring all equipment is safe.
• Operate plant machinery in a controlled, safe, and cost‑effective manner.
• Carry out routine maintenance.
• Minimise waste and report any defects.
• Load vehicles safely and move stock according to yard plans.
• Work collaboratively to ensure quality output and meet target volumes.
• Act as a role model for Health & Safety, contributing to a safe and proactive working culture.
• Take pride in all work completed and demonstrate determination to succeed.

• Experience operating plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements on‑site.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement.
• Positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
