Works Manager - pa

This is a first class opportunity to join one of London’s fastest growing print firrms. The successful candidate will take full control of all manufacturing from pre-press to bindery. The utopia candidate will have come up the ‘shop floor’ route rather than office/ production, be commercially minded and have a good understanding, or better still, a qualification in lean manufacturing.

This is very much a ‘hands on role’ therefore someone from a 50 staff plus environment will more than likely not be a match.

-To effectively manage the performance and conduct of all shop floor employees, meet and improve on production targets. Be able to motivate the team and drive production, quality and output. Challenge poor performance and reduce work in progress and customer rejections and waste. Be able to find ways of improving productivity quality and efficiencies. Applicants must be from a sheet-fed litho background.

Experience and be used to working in a fast turnaround, fast paced environment.
