About Strongdor: Strongdor is a well-established UK manufacturer of high-quality steel doors, operating from a modern and forward-thinking production facility equipped with Amada, Trumpf and Salvagnini machinery. As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our programming capabilities and now have an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual to join our operations team.
This role is ideal for someone with a technical interest, manufacturing awareness, or existing CAD/CAM experience who is looking to build a long-term career.
About the role: Working primarily from the office within a busy manufacturing environment, you will support our increased nesting and programming requirements across both Amada and Trumpf platforms. Your work will directly contribute to efficient laser-cutting operations and the smooth flow of production.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and optimise nesting programs for laser cutting operations.
- Improve material utilisation and contribute to overall efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and issue production documentation electronically and in print.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, planning, and engineering teams.
- Monitor workflow to support on-time production and delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the programming and operations department.
What We're Looking For We welcome applicants with varying levels of experience as full training will be provided. The following skills and attributes would be advantageous:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, laser cutting, or automated machine processes.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using software-based systems.
- A logical, organised, and detail-focused approach to work.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, develop, and contribute.
- Reliable, technically minded, and eager to build a long-term career.
- Positive team player committed to supporting a growing and successful business.
Monday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Tuesday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Wednesday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:45pm
