Production Team Leader
Location: Northwest London
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday (40 hours)
Reports to: Production Manager
About the roleWe are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join a well-established and rapidly growing food manufacturing company in Northwest London.
This an excellent opportunity for a Production Team Leader or someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced food production environment.
You will be working alongside the Production Supervisor, leading a small team whilst remaining hands on.
What You’ll Be Doing- Leading and motivating a small production team
- Producing high-quality products to specification
- Training team members and supporting their development
- Operating and monitoring bakery and cooking equipment safely
- Ensuring production plans and KPI targets are met
- Accurately preparing and weighing ingredients
- Following recipes, SOPs, and production orders
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality
- Completing production logs and quality checks
- Supporting line changeovers and cleaning between runs
- Identifying and reporting faults or issues quickly
- Driving continuous improvement on production lines
- Experience as a Team Leader (or line leader)
- Ready to take the next step in responsibility and accountability
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain strict quality standards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene (preferred but not essential)
- Hands-on role in both hot and cold production areas
- Working with gluten and allergens
- Lifting up to 25kg (with support/equipment)
- On your feet for extended periods
- Occasional flexibility required (e.g. weekend shifts during peak periods)
