Location: Greater London

Production Operator

Location: Beckton, E6 6LF

Shifts: Double Days - Early Shift: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:00, Friday 06:00-13:00;
Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 14:00-22:00, Friday 13:00-20:00.

Pay Rate: £13.85 - £16.21 (after 12 weeks)

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing operations. The role requires adherence to health, safety, quality, and operational standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to overall site performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Follow all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and report any faults or issues.
  • Complete quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Support problem‑solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Assist with training and supporting colleagues when required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs (Grade A‑C / Grade 4‑9) or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and COSHH regulations is desirable.
  • An understanding of basic mechanical principles and production equipment would be beneficial.
