Job Overview
Eurovia Roadstone, part of the VINCI Group, is a leading supplier of asphalt and bituminous materials across the UK. We combine innovation, sustainability and operational excellence to deliver high-quality materials supporting the country's infrastructure. We seek an Asphalt Plant Operative to operate and maintain the plant safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Operate the asphalt plant in accordance with production schedules and Eurovia’s quality standards.
- Monitor, control and adjust plant settings to ensure consistent production and compliance with mix specifications.
- Carry out daily plant inspections and maintain all equipment to safe operating standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning and basic repairs according to the planned maintenance schedule.
- Load and manage incoming raw materials.
- Maintain accurate production and stock records, ensuring traceability and compliance with company systems.
- Liaise with the Quality Control team to ensure all mixes meet technical and customer requirements.
- Promote and adhere to Eurovia Roadstone’s health, safety and environmental standards, reporting incidents or near misses immediately.
- Support continuous improvement of site operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Undertake other site duties as required, including mobile plant operation if appropriately trained.
- Previous experience in asphalt, quarrying or similar heavy plant operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with batching/control systems.
- Awareness and understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Mobile or fixed plant qualifications (Loading Shovel, Telehandler or similar).
- Basic mechanical or electrical maintenance skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Full training will be provided.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when working independently.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and customer focus.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Hours:
Full Time, 47.5 hours per week, variable shift pattern (day and night, including weekends as required).
