This is an excellent opportunity for a Cable Assembler / Technician to become part of a skilled production team where you’ll work on a variety of products, develop new technical skills, and gain exposure to industry-recognised manufacturing processes. You’ll be involved in cable assembly, testing, inspection, fault finding, and rework activities, playing a key role in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before reaching customers.

- Assemble electrical cable assemblies to customer and engineering specifications
- Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Test completed cable assemblies to ensure quality and performance standards are met
- Carry out inspection, fault finding, repair, and rework activities when required
- Follow all company quality procedures, safety standards, and manufacturing processes
- Report job progress and highlight any potential issues to the Production Supervisor or Line Manager
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and responsibility for the quality of completed work
- Operate production equipment, including stripping machines, crimping machines, and testing equipment
- Support continuous improvement activities within the production department
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and customer delivery requirements
- Participate in training programmes and work towards IPC-620 accreditation
- Previous experience assembling cable harnesses, wiring looms, or electrical/electronic assemblies is advantageous
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
- Basic soldering experience and confidence working with small electrical components
- Experience using hand tools, wire strippers, crimp tools, and measuring equipment
- Good understanding of quality standards and the importance of producing defect-free assemblies
- Strong attention to detail when identifying wire colours, pin configurations, labels, and connector orientations
- Ability to carry out basic testing and inspection activities using standard production test equipment
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for detailed assembly work
- Ability to follow documented manufacturing procedures and work instructions consistently
- Flexible approach to working hours to support customer demand and production schedules
- Good level of written and spoken English to accurately complete production records and understand technical documentation
