Job Role of the Reliability Lead

As the Reliability Lead, you will be responsible for driving plant reliability, improving asset performance, reducing downtime, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives across the site. You will work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to implement reliability strategies, lead root cause investigations, and develop maintenance best practices to maximise operational performance.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements- Proven Reliability Engineering or Asset Reliability with strong knowledge and practical experience of Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Previous management, supervisory, or engineering leadership experience.
- Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (FMCG).
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Experience analysing plant performance, downtime, and OEE data.
- Ability to lead engineering projects and continuous improvement programmes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Recognised Engineering Qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Food, Beverage, Packaging, Pharmaceutical, or other high‑speed manufacturing experience.
- Experience managing CAPEX or reliability improvement projects.
- Working for a market‑leading FMCG manufacturing business.
