Production & Factory Manager

Our client, an international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Production & Factory Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality output of production facility. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing people, processes, and performance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, duties to include:
Oversee all factory operations including production, planning, quality, maintenance, and dispatch Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve output, quality, and safety targets Implement and monitor KPIs across productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and on-time delivery Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, company policies, and industry standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to optimise workflow and reduce downtime Manage resource planning, shift patterns, and labour allocation Work closely with senior management on capacity planning, forecasting, and operational strategy Oversee machine maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to production Maintain strong communication between departments including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and production records are maintained As a successful candidate you will have experience as a Production Manager/Supervisor, Factory Manager, or similar role within manufacturing together with strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence teams and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and workflow optimisation.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail are also essential as is confidence in communication and the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities. A good understanding of H&S regulations and quality standards would also be beneficial.
