Overview
Global industrial electronics manufacturer seeks an experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead a growing team and drive manufacturing performance across a high-volume production environment. This key leadership role is within the manufacturing function, responsible for developing a team of Process Engineers while driving continuous improvement, process optimisation, cost reduction and operational excellence across the business. The organisation manufactures thousands of products daily and continues to invest in people and production capability, offering scope to influence manufacturing strategy and operational performance.
Responsibilities- Lead, coach and develop a team of process engineers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing
- Identify and eliminate process waste through Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Lead projects focused on productivity improvement, cost reduction, capacity increases and process optimisation
- Support engineering change management and manufacturing process control
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to quality and operational issues
- Experience leading engineering teams
- Strong background in manufacturing environments
- Experience delivering measurable process improvements and cost savings
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction
- Experience leading root cause analysis
- Ability to engage, motivate and develop people
- Experience with in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience with SMED, line balancing, Yamazumi analysis or other Lean methodologies
- Project management training or qualifications (PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- 9 day fortnight (every other Friday off)
