Competitive Shift Allowance Guided Talent is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Turner to join our client, a reputable aerospace manufacturing organisation based in West London . This is an excellent permanent opportunity for a skilled Manual Machinist, Manual Turner or Toolmaker looking to work within a high-precision engineering environment. You will be responsible for setting and operating manual lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components, working accurately to engineering drawings and exacting quality standards.

• Set up and operate manual lathes and associated machine tools to manufacture precision components.
• Produce components accurately to engineering drawings, specifications and required tolerances.
• Select appropriate tooling and make machine adjustments to achieve the required dimensions and finish.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and manufacturing instructions .
• Carry out dimensional and visual checks to ensure components meet stringent quality requirements.
• Identify and resolve machining issues while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the manufacturing process.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of the wider manufacturing team.

• The successful Manual Turner will ideally have:
  Previous experience in manual machining , particularly operating manual lathes.
• Experience working as a Manual Turner, Manual Machinist or Toolmaker .
• Strong knowledge of setting and operating manual machine tools.
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications .
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality components.
• Good practical problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and within a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Experience with in aerospace, precision engineering or another high-tolerance manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• Willingness to work the required rotating shifts of 06:3014:30 and 13:5521:55 .
