What

are we looking for?

Assures an accurate and continuous flow of materials through the plant. Receives and handles incoming materials, prepares bills of lading and shipping labels, arranges truck pick-up, prepares products and samples for shipment. Unloads and load trucks and containers with forklifts and other material handling equipment. The primary role will be in the Shipping and Receiving and Production Areas in the Production Department.

Perform filtering operations and transfer materials to containers (drums, totes, bags, and boxes). The position will require scheduled overtime to cover openings created by vacation, sickness, etc.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities…
  • Assures an accurate and continuous flow of materials through the plant
  • Receives and handles incoming materials, prepares bills of lading and shipping labels, arranges truck pick-up, prepares products and samples for shipment.
  • Loading containers and trucks for shipment with the appropriate dunnage and paperwork for worldwide shipments.
  • Perform filtering operations, packaging and transfer materials to containers (drums, totes, bags, and boxes).
  • Visually check lines, connections, and bleed off valves before, during and after transfer
  • Transfer product through proper lines by identifying correct line, completing hookups, and opening and closing valves.
  • Participate in teams such as work teams and safety teams.
  • Assist in conducting physical inventory.
  • Receive raw materials by verifying information, making labels and entering data into the computer inventory system.
  • Participate on lean Six Sigma teams for continuous plant improvement.
Who You Are…

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates Material Handler entry level Skills
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Standing while operating electric lift truck up to 6 hours per shift, sitting while operating LP lift truck.
  • Walking required up to 4 hours per shift.
  • Bending required to stack empty drums and pallets
  • Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and move (with a hand truck) up to 550 pounds
  • High School diploma or equivalent plus one year related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience as a Material Handler
  • DOT certification
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Forklift Truck License
