Manufacturing Engineer - Precision Engineering
Location:
Leicester (On-Site) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 benefits Job Type: Permanent | Full Time Manufacturing Engineer | CNC | Precision Engineering | Machine Shop | NPI | Lean Manufacturing A leading precision engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support its machine shop operations in Leicestershire. Manufacturing complex precision-machined components for sectors including aerospace, defence and automotive, the business is investing in continuous improvement, new product introduction and manufacturing excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys improving machining processes and working closely with production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and optimise CNC and manual machining processes Define tooling, fixtures, routings, work instructions and manufacturing standards Support NPI and Design for Manufacture activities Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, cost and safety Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support to production
Skills & Experience:
Min. 5 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining or machine shop environment Strong knowledge of CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding and manufacturing processes Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and tight tolerance components Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement and problem solving methodologies Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred Why Apply?
