Induction Furnace Operator
Location:
Beckton, East London
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Pin Point Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Induction Furnace Operator on behalf of a leading precious metals manufacturer based in Beckton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in precious metal processing. The successful candidate will have previous foundry experience, be confident operating induction tilt furnaces, and thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
The Role
As an Induction Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for safely melting, refining and processing precious metals using high-temperature induction tilt furnaces. Working as part of the refinery team, you will ensure production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
Operate high-temperature induction tilt furnaces to melt and fabricate precious metal scrap, alloys, chlorides and oxides.
Process and grain refined and unrefined precious metals.
Carry out routine maintenance on furnaces and filtration systems.
Use laboratory equipment, including calibrated balances and XRF equipment.
Work closely with the Refinery Lead to prioritise and complete daily production activities.
Maintain accurate production records where required.
Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards.
Follow and promote Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Support other refinery duties as required (full training will be provided where necessary).
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working in a foundry or precious metals manufacturing environment.
Experience operating induction tilt furnaces.
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (training can be provided).
