Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of an established precision engineering business in South Devon for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Turner, Programmer, Setter and Operator
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience working on Star and Citizen sliding-head machinery who is looking for a long-term, permanent position within a specialist manufacturing environment.

• £45,000-£55,000 salary.

• Programming, setting and operating CNC sliding-head machinery.

• Working with Star and Citizen machines.

• Programming using Fanuc controls.

• Producing precision, fine-tolerance components.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining high production standards.

• Working with small-diameter/fine-tube components.

• Supporting efficient production and maintaining machine performance.

We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist with a strong background in sliding-head/Swiss-type machining.

You should have:

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC sliding-head machines.

• Experience with Star SJ10 and/or SW12 machines.

• Experience with Citizen machinery.

• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.

• CNC programming skills.

• The ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.

• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• A methodical approach to quality and precision.

Experience with in electronics, opto-electronics
, or other high-precision manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
