Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative
Location:
Northampton Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Friday | 6:00am - 2:30pm
Hours:
Up to 40 hours per week Overtime:
Paid at x1.5 Bonus: £150 skills and productivity bonus

Full-time | Ongoing opportunity Manufacturing Operative Required - Northampton Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative to join our clients production team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing, engineering or automotive experience who enjoys hands-on work and can use their own initiative. The ideal candidate will be practical, detail-focused and confident suggesting new ideas to help improve the team and production process.
The Role As a Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative, your duties may include:
Operating hand tools and power tools to assemble products Assembling products accurately to required specifications Following detailed instructions, blueprints and technical drawings Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy Checking work meets required standards Troubleshooting and resolving issues during the manufacturing process Supporting production targets in a fast-paced environment Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work area Working safely and following all health and safety procedures Working independently and as part of a team Using your own initiative and suggesting ideas where improvements can be made
What Were Looking For We are looking for candidates who:
Have previous manufacturing or engineering experience Have previous automotive industry experience, desirable Are confident using hand tools and power tools Can read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings Have strong attention to detail and accuracy Can follow instructions carefully Have good communication skills Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team Are reliable, punctual and hardworking Are proactive and happy to bring new ideas to the team Enjoy working in a busy manufacturing environment
