Fettler​/Polisher - Nights

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing metal components to meet quality standards, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and precision.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a background in fabrication or mechanical work to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Use hand tools, grinding equipment, and polishing machines to smooth and finish metal surfaces. Prepare sheet metal components for assembly by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections. Assist with fabrication processes including welding, assembly, and basic tooling tasks as required.

Conduct inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately within deadlines. Qualifications Prior experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or similar mechanical roles is preferred. Knowledge of sheet metal handling and the use of hand tools and tooling is essential.

Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations are required. Familiarity with assembly processes and mechanical knowledge will be advantageous. Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and the ability to follow technical instructions precisely. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
