Key Activities:
Ensuring that the factory equipment and environment are kept and maintained to a high degree of cleanliness, in accordance with site and cleaning procedures.
Reports to: Hygiene Supervisor / Hygiene Lead
Working Days:
Any five days out of seven days per week, including weekends and bank holidays where required, with flexibility to support the needs of the business.
Shift Pattern:
Full-time position working on a flexible shift pattern, which may include day shifts and/or night shifts depending on the operational requirements of the business. Shift start and finish times may vary.
- To have a full understanding of the COSHH requirements and chemicals in use.
- To have a full understanding of Health & Safety procedures and the documentation requirements of the department.
- To immediately report all potential hygiene, health & safety hazards and/or unsafe working practices to the Production and Technical Managers.
- To have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules, equipment and procedures throughout the factory.
- To ensure all correct PPE is in good condition and worn at all times.
- To carry out post-engineering cleaning following any engineering work.
- To ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standard to support site visits and audits.
- To perform other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the role and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.
- Basic training in food hygiene
- Basic training in Health & Safety
- Basic training in the safe use of chemicals
- Basic manual handling training
- Flexibility to work day and/or night shifts according to business requirements
Previous training or experience in food hygiene, Health & Safety, COSHH, chemical handling and manual handling is desirable but not essential

If you do not currently hold the required training but are willing to learn and develop within the role, full training will be provided by the company.
