14 September 2026 CDS Labour are recruiting an experienced Shot Blaster for a rapidly expanding industrial coatings company based in Rotherham, close to the M1. The Role You will assist with all aspects of shot blasting and industrial painting production, working with large steel components in a booth environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Manually grit blasting large industrial items Operating automatic blasting machinery Handling and turning large steel components Using overhead cranes safely Loading and unloading lorries and trailers Preparing products for blasting and painting Assisting with general production duties Working independently with minimal supervision Adapting to different products, materials and blasting techniques Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

What Were Looking For Applicants must have:
Previous experience manually grit blasting large industrial items Experience working within a blasting booth environment and/or operating automatic blasting machinery Knowledge of overhead crane operations Experience handling heavy steel components Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual work A reliable attitude and excellent timekeeping Good spoken and written English The ability to commute to Rotherham reliably for every shift Previous industrial spray-painting or forklift truck experience would be a strong advantage.
