Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC milling machines, including 3 and 5-axis machines . Produce precision components accurately and efficiently from engineering drawings. Work to tight tolerances and inspect your own work to ensure it meets required standards. Carry out quality checks on completed components. Interpret engineering drawings and follow written manufacturing instructions. Use a wide range of precision measuring equipment.
Work independently and use your initiative to resolve manufacturing issues. Maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process. Clean and maintain CNC machines, associated equipment and the working area. Follow all company health, safety, quality and environmental procedures. Work in accordance with ISO 50001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards. Contribute to continual improvement across manufacturing, quality, health & safety, environmental, energy and sustainability performance.
Support the Energy team by identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency within your area of responsibility. Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team. About You You will be a fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator with the relevant qualifications/certificates and proven experience in CNC milling. You will ideally have:
Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines. Experience working with 3-axis and 5-axis milling . The ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with in an aerospace manufacturing environment . Strong knowledge of precision measurement equipment. Good computer literacy. Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality. Good practical and problem-solving skills. The ability to follow written instructions and established procedures. The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. A strong commitment to working safely.
