Key Responsibilities
- Act as an ‘advisor’ to clients – proactively adding value, insights and direction to internal and external meetings. Support with developing ideas and solutions to meet the client need, and ensure they are implemented to the right standard
- Lead and complete profitable projects with the support of Account Directors and above. Support with developing ideas and solutions to meet the client need, and ensure they are implemented to the right standard
- Active participation in client workshops and meetings. Management of client events – develop agendas, pitch presentations identify speakers, develop materials, work with other teams and agencies on production and promotion
- Collaborative working: work with the wider team including MSL’s wider creative teams to create visual content
- Develop in-depth knowledge about the media including influencers and stakeholders- execute media relations programmes and support client programmes. You will also stay up to date with current communications technologies, ideas and trends
- Media relations – pitch news, sell in stories to national, lifestyle and trade press across different sectors
- Successfully work across multiple client projects at any one time. Find ways to juggle conflicting client deadlines and needs without impacting client satisfaction
- Experience in (and/or) consumer press office, campaigns and activations
- Interest, experience and ability in influencer marketing
- Good understanding of earned media, experienced with suggesting stories and generating coverage across traditional media and digital channels
- Ability to think on your feet, work in an agile manner and adapt to changing requests
- A great communicator (both verbally and written) and good collaborator with people of all levels. Proven ability to positively manage people and teams, internally and externally to achieve the very best results
- Engaging, positive with an infectious enthusiasm, someone that people naturally gravitate to and want to work with
- Self-aware, shows personality, challenges when appropriate, works well with others and leads by example. Willing to coach and mentor more junior team members
- Commercially astute, actively interested in the sector in which we operate to be able to make smart business decisions and keep abreast of emerging trends
- Digitally savvy, active on social channels and passionate about communications
