BAM UK and Ireland is a leading construction and property services company that is committed to building a sustainable future. We are seeking a Senior PR and Media Relations Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our media relations and external communications agenda on a 12 month FTC.

As the Senior PR and Media Relations Manager, you will work closely with the Head of PR and Strategic Communications and other members of the communications team to develop and implement effective PR and media relations strategies that align with the company's objectives.

Making Possible

As Senior PR and Media Relations Manager, your role will be to support and drive forward the organisations external communications strategy, helping tell the great stories that bring our strategy alive from across our division to all our stakeholders, clients, media and beyond.

You will understand the strategic importance of external communications, building a clear understanding of our goals and values, while driving advocacy for our business through thought provoking content.

You will work with the Head of PR and Strategic Communications to ensure the successful implementation of our PR and media relations strategy and execution plans across all external audiences.

You will work on large-scale projects and have a voice to bring new ideas to the table. You will need to be a master in stakeholder management, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business and our target audience.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the business to help define the PR and Media Relations agenda.

• Act as the lead media relations liaison for the organisation and help to define our news pipeline.

• Build relationships with key media and external stakeholders, working with client communications teams to drive for more impactful communications

• Work with the Head of PR and Strategic Communications to create and execute external communications strategies and plans.

• Deputise for the Head of PR and Strategic Communications when required

• Lead a team of two PR and Media Managers

• Manage the day to day relationship with our PR agency

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders to support their critical business needs.

• Develop and maintain effective measurement and KPIs for external communication channels.

• Work closely with the Senior Internal Communications Manager to identify shared story and content opportunities.

• Consider multiple channels when developing content and understand the need to vary messaging to suit.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technology such as AI and understand the role it can play in the communications function within our business.
