About the RoleAs a Communications Officer
, you will develop and deliver impactful communication plans that build awareness, trust, and engagement with Macmillan. Whether you honed your skills in a media agency, have a background in social media, corporate communications, or have previously worked in the corporate, public or charity sectors, this is your chance to apply your creativity and strategic thinking to a cause that makes a difference.
Working across teams, you will create compelling stories, shape our voice across internal and external messaging, and drive engagement with a diverse range of audiences.
- Develop and implement creative communication plans.
- Produce engaging content for media, social media and internal communications channels.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and respond to media and reputational opportunities.
- Ensure people affected by cancer are at the heart of our communications.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve communication strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Channel-specific expertise in delivering audience-focused communications.
- Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- A flexible, collaborative, and proactive approach.
- Passion for Macmillan’s mission and values.
