The Role
We are seeking a strategic, confident and creative Content Lead to run the day-to-day editorial strategy for Made In Poor Taste (Instagram + Facebook) while leading content strategy for We Generate’s own social channels (Instagram + Tik Tok).
Alongside managing the content calendar, you’ll take the lead on brand partnerships — from concept to completion. You’ll help win deals with sharp creative ideas and see them through every stage, from pitch to delivery.
You’ll plan and produce standout series across our core pillars: sport, pop culture, entertainment, style & beauty, lifestyle and relationships. You’ll also create content for brand activations, features and client campaigns that appear on Made In Poor Taste.
This role sits in the UK and works as an extension of our wider team across the US and Latam, collaborating predominantly with the UK team. Strong, clean writing, serious organisation, and camera confidence are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day content strategy and execution for Made In Poor Taste and Made In Her Taste (Instagram + Facebook), as well as We Generate’s own social content (Tik Tok + Instagram).
- Ideate, create and feature in original, culturally relevant short-form video (Reels, Carousels, Stories).
- Identify the best UK content to feature and keep our feeds current.
- Track performance, optimise quickly and hit audience growth + revenue goals.
- Lead branded partnerships: shape creative concepts, pitch alongside Sales, and manage campaigns end-to-end.
- Guide community management to keep engagement high and brand voice consistent.
Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years in social media strategy and storytelling with proof of campaign wins and channel growth.
- Experience working with Gen Z brands and audiences.
- Sharp copywriting that is witty, clean and on brand.
- Deep knowledge of established and emerging platforms with a pulse on UK + global trends.
- Quick-thinking, creative mindset with comfort experimenting to find what sticks.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Passion for and familiarity with Made In Poor Taste
- Experience with branded content and client partnerships is a must.
