We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will work closely with product, marketing and our agencies to help define and communicate our consumer products, propositions and go to market strategies. As a relatively new function at Rightmove this is a brilliant opportunity to establish the overall Product Marketing strategy, embed the function and help shape the future strategic direction of the business.
Responsibilities- Embed the Product Marketing team as experts in understanding our suite of products and where the team can add the most value at different stages in the consumer journey, based on commercial targets and consumer/market insights.
- Liaise with Marketing at planning stage to be the voice of the product team.
- Influence how prominent product is within our brand communication.
- Make recommendations on what kind of Marketing a product needs to achieve its targets/OKRs.
- Foster and nurture close collaboration between Marketing and Product so that Marketing can influence the product roadmap where appropriate.
- Set the strategic direction for product marketing.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within our consumer offering and work with the product teams on discovery and development of these.
- Collaborate with the product and Marketing teams (including Brand Managers, CRM, Content, PR and agencies) to develop go-to-market plans for new and existing products based on consumer needs and data insights.
- Create compelling value propositions, positioning and messaging frameworks for new products and services, working with agencies and internal teams where appropriate.
- Be the voice of the consumer within core products, using user segmentation and journey mapping to optimize consumer journeys and drive awareness and usage with the right message, to the right audience, at the right stage.
- Contribute from an early stage in the development of new products and propositions, with a view on market trends, consumer behaviours and competitive changes that could impact our offering.
- Manage a team of two Product Marketing Managers.
- Demonstrates a real passion for bringing products to market to achieve business targets, leading with gravitas.
- Has a unique mix of analytical, strategic and creative skills. Enjoys analysing data, setting strategy, executing creative marketing and winning hearts and minds.
- Excellent communicator and storyteller; comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders on projects and plans.
- Exceptional attention to detail with an iterative test and learn mindset, always seeking ways to improve product marketing effectiveness across the end-to-end consumer experience.
- Ability to make the complex simple.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and inputs to create one simple view.
- Strategic thinker who solves business challenges from the consumer perspective.
- Enjoys working with diverse people and skill sets and contributing to discussions across legal, compliance, tone of voice, creative and messaging.
- Experience working for a digital brand developing new digital products and services and understanding related challenges and rewards.
- 10+ years of experience in Marketing or Product Marketing (must have product marketing experience).
- Highly organized, proactive and able to multi-task; capable of pivoting quickly and thinking on your feet.
- Experience in a consumer products organisation with a complex ecosystem of products.
- Proven track record of collaborating with Product and Marketing leadership to shape Go to Market strategy from early product-building stages.
- Demonstrable ownership mindset and comfort discussing with people at all levels of the business; we have a flat structure.
