This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking to hire a Global Social Media Marketing Specialist to strengthen our MCBD function.

The Opportunity

This role will support the planning, creation, publishing, and performance tracking of social media content and campaigns that enhance Arup’s brand visibility, engage target audiences, and support business development priorities. This global role will work closely with the global and regional MCBD teams to ensure alignment and consistency across platforms.

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Arup’s social media platforms (e.g., Linked In, Instagram, You Tube).
  • Support the execution of paid and organic social media campaigns, including content creation, approvals, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source stories, visuals, and updates that reflect Arup’s values and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments, and elevate reputational risks as needed.
  • Maintain and contribute to the global content calendar, ensuring timely and coordinated delivery.
  • Assist with employee advocacy and executive visibility initiatives on social media.
  • Track and report on campaign performance using analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, native platform insights).
  • Stay informed on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to inform content and strategy.
  • Support training and guidance for internal teams on social media usage and tone of voice.
Key Responsibilities Qualifications and Accreditation
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
Knowledge And Experience
  • Experience in a social media or digital marketing role, ideally in a professional services or B2B environment.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills, with attention to tone, clarity, and brand alignment.
  • Creative mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and geographies.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Skills And Attributes
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools.
  • Deep understanding of Linked In and other key platforms and proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar).
