HOWL is a platform for pleasure: a sexual wellness CPG and nightlife events company on a mission to revolutionise intimacy for all genders and sexualities.
Born out of an underground queer rave in 2021, HOWL relaunched in January 2025 as an investor-backed startup. In the past 12 months, we’ve:
- Hit 130% of our 2025 revenue target
- Secured retail listings with Ann Summers and Selfridges
- Won Best Lube and Emerging Brand of the Year
- Delivered activations at Barbican, Whole Festival, Body Movements, and Maiden Voyage
- Launched capsule collections with Shygirl, Jade, and Luis de Javier
- Partnered with The Standard London
We’ve built a 40k+ community, organised 25 events, launched an award-winning lube, and created a media presence at the intersection of music and pleasure.
2026 is a landmark year: new product launches, international events (Berlin, NYC), targeted retail expansion, and a Seed round to scale the team.
The RoleFounder & CEO Samuel Douek has built HOWL from a DIY rave into an investor-backed brand with real traction. He leads brand vision, creative direction, and partnerships. Now we are hiring a Founding CMO to own growth, revenue strategy, and marketing infrastructure.
This role reports directly to the CEO and sits on the executive leadership team. You will define and build HOWL’s commercial growth engine across product, retail, and experiential channels.
What You’ll OwnGrowth Strategy
Define the full-funnel growth strategy across DTC, retail, and experiential.
Unit Economics & Performance
Own CAC, LTV, contribution margin, retention, repeat purchase rate, and payback discipline.
Channel Architecture
Build and scale paid, organic, CRM, influencer, partnerships, and community-led acquisition.
Brand x Revenue Integration
Turn events and cultural moments into a scalable acquisition channel.
Commercial Growth, Retail Marketing & Sell-Through
Support on sales, drive velocity in retail accounts and align launch strategy with wholesale expansion.
Performance Reporting Discipline
Build dashboards, forecasting discipline, and marketing ROI clarity pre- and post-Seed.
Team Build (Post-Seed)
Hire and develop the first in-house growth team.
Supply Chain & Manufacturing
Own product development and supply chain from manufacturing to fulfilment
What We’re Looking For Must-Haves- 6+ years in CPG / consumer brand marketing
- Experience at an early-stage company (Pre-Seed → Seed or Seed → Series A)
- Direct ownership of DTC growth and consumer unit economics
- Experience operating with constrained marketing budgets
- Proven ability to scale revenue without overspending
- London-based, full-time, in-person
- Experience in regulated or platform-restricted categories
- Retail marketing and sell-through experience
- Fundraising exposure (Pre-Seed, Seed, or Series A)
- Deep understanding of community-led brands
- Big-company marketers without early-stage exposure
- Brand-only marketers without P&L accountability
- Growth operators who need large budgets to perform
- Anyone uncomfortable partnering with a visionary, brand-led founder
