Position: Account Director - 6 Month FTC
Location: Greater London

Account Director – Brand Solutions

Location:

London or Altrincham, Cheshire (starting August 2026). Initial 6‑month fixed‑term contract with possibility of permanent placement. Must be full‑time and eligible to work in the UK.

SPORTFIVE is a global agency connecting brands, rights‑holders, media platforms and fans across a wide range of sports. The Brand Solutions team creates, manages and activates creative sponsorship campaigns for premium rights‑holders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboard and establish new global client relationships with ongoing strategic management.
  • Lead strategic partnership planning across a new global partnership portfolio in racket sports.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop a cohesive SPORTFIVE service offering, including creative strategy, playbook development, and partnership measurement and reporting.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with rights‑holder partners through initial immersion workshops and ongoing planning processes.
  • Establish a client framework and delivery process for success, particularly across central global activation work streams.
  • Build a KPI framework aligned with client objectives, including a regular reporting cadence from all sources.
  • Advise and shape a global activation approach for the partnership platform and its application in local markets.
  • Develop partnership launch plans with both the client and right‑holders where applicable within the contract timeframe.
  • Lead client liaison and set meeting cadence, ensuring key stakeholders are brought in regularly.
  • Manage partnership approvals across multiple stakeholders.
  • Oversee planning and execution of partnership events and player appearances on behalf of clients, attending as required.
  • Manage global partnership inventory, allocating the most valuable and high‑profile rights to deliver partnership objectives.
  • Serve as the lead point for account troubleshooting and client challenges.
  • Provide insight on the latest sports marketing trends and innovation.
  • Help plan team resources to manage client workflows.
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 10 years of multi‑channel marketing, strategic account management, and partnership activation experience.
  • Demonstrable strategic planning skills and campaign planning experience.
  • Strong client management experience working with global multi‑market organisations.
  • Agency experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flawless attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills – ability to create and present strategy and activation programming.
  • Passion for sport with a good understanding of global racket sports.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually, with strong leadership skills.
  • Must be available for travel.
  • Italian language skills would be beneficial but not essential.
