THE ROLE

As a PR Associate with Climate Impact Partners, you will play a crucial role in driving climate action by providing operational support across Climate Impact Partners' PR and Communications function, with a particular focus on running our corporate social media channels and supporting the delivery of external events.

The role also provides light-touch support on announcement drafting and awards submissions, giving the postholder a well-rounded introduction to comms.

This role is critical to building Climate Impact Partners’ brand, ensuring the business maintains a consistent, professional external presence day to day, freeing up senior leadership to focus on strategic narrative, media relations, and reputational risk management.

RESPONSIBILITIES Social media (core)

You will run Climate Impact Partners’ corporate social channels day to day, ensuring they reflect our brand, narrative and reputation priorities.

  • Manage daily publishing, scheduling and governance of Climate Impact Partners’ corporate social channels (primarily Linked In).
  • Draft social posts aligned to the editorial calendar, leadership visibility needs and market developments.
  • Ensure all content meets claims, accuracy and reputational safeguards before publishing (with Director sign-off on anything sensitive).
  • Track performance through monthly reporting, identifying insights and optimisation opportunities.
  • Support executive social media activity (drafting, posting, engagement monitoring).
  • Lead live social coverage for events, award wins, announcements and milestones.
Events (core)

Support the Director in delivering external events, from Climate Weeks to sponsored engagements and speaking opportunities.

  • Assist with logistical preparation: run sheets, checklists, registration and event materials.
  • Coordinate speaker bios, briefing documents, session abstracts and submission forms.
  • Support content capture and amplification for social media and PR channels.
  • Assist with on-site event coordination where required.
Announcement support
  • Maintain the organisation-wide editorial calendar (corporate, client, project and thought leadership announcements).
  • Draft first versions of short-form comms materials (announcement copy, social copy) for Director review.
  • Gather inputs and approvals from relevant internal teams.
  • Maintain trackers covering announcements, upcoming milestones and required outputs.
Awards support
  • Maintain the awards calendar across corporate, project, team and individual categories.
  • Draft first-version award entries and coordinate collection of evidence, metrics and quotes.
  • Coordinate social amplification for shortlists and wins.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Knowledge and Experience Essential
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise social and short-form content.
  • 1–3 years' experience in PR, communications, digital marketing, events or a related field.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and interest in sustainability, climate policy or market developments.
Desirable
  • Experience with social scheduling or analytics tools.
  • Event coordination experience.
  • Experience in sustainability or climate-related communications.
