The Opportunity

An award-winning, full-service performance agency in London is looking for an SEO & GEO Strategy Manager to join their organic team and lead strategy on one of their flagship retail and e-commerce accounts.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on big-picture strategic thinking — someone who can turn data and insight into clear, commercially-driven SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) recommendations, rather than someone purely focused on hands-on execution.

You'll be joining a well-established, 100-strong agency with a strong reputation across e-commerce, D2C, retail media and performance marketing, working across offices in London, Leeds and Manchester.

Sitting within the agency's SEO & GEO team and reporting into an Account Director, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end organic strategy for a major retail client - from planning and briefing through to delivery and reporting.

You won't be expected to get into the technical weeds yourself; instead, you'll act as the connective tissue between specialist Technical, Content and Digital PR teams, ensuring everything ladders up to a coherent, data-led strategy that delivers real commercial impact for the client.

• Owning the end-to-end SEO & GEO strategy for a major retail client account
• Coordinating and aligning specialist Technical, Content and Digital PR teams around a single strategic roadmap
• Using data-driven analysis (Search Console, GA, and other tools) to identify opportunities and shape recommendations
• Translating client briefs into inventive, effective, commercially-sound organic solutions
• Acting as a key day-to-day client contact, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders
• Leading on reporting, insights and performance updates
• Staying on top of the evolving GEO / AI-search landscape and bringing that thinking into client strategy

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for SEO and organic strategy, who can demonstrate strategic, full-funnel thinking rather than single-channel execution. You might currently be a Senior Executive ready to step up, or already working at Manager level.

You'll ideally have:

• Agency experience in an SEO-focused, client-facing role
• Experience across retail, e-commerce or a similarly fast-paced, consumer-facing sector
• A genuine interest in and understanding of GEO / AI search — you don't need "GEO" in your job title, but you should be able to speak confidently about how AI and LLMs are shaping search behaviour
• Strong data literacy, with the ability to translate insight into clear strategic recommendations
• Confident client communication and relationship-building skills
• Around 2+ years' experience in SEO, ideally with some exposure to strategic or cross-functional planning
