We're looking for a Social Communications Lead to own QPR's voice across our key social and messaging channels. This is a chance to shape how a Championship football club shows up on X, Facebook, Linked In and Whats App, connecting with supporters through content that's timely, engaging and true to who we are.
You'll lead the day-to-day editorial output across our channels, plan content around fixtures, matchdays and big club moments, and work closely with our Video Content & Social Media Executive plus the Marketing and Commercial teams to bring campaigns, partnerships and commercial activity to life. It's a fast-paced role, especially on matchdays, and you'll need to think on your feet when news breaks.
What you'll be doing

- Owning the editorial output across our primary channels, making sure everything is accurate, on-brand and published at the right moment
- Planning content across the short, medium and long term around fixtures, matchdays, news, campaigns and announcements
- Partnering with our Video Content & Social Media Executive to keep output aligned across every platform
- Working with Marketing and Commercial colleagues to support campaigns, partnerships, ticketing and retail through strong social content
- Using data and audience insights to track performance, spot trends and keep improving
- Staying on top of platform changes, algorithms and emerging formats, particularly on X, Facebook, Linked In and Whats App
- Thriving under pressure on matchdays and when news breaks fast
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Around two years' experience in a similar social media or content role
- A track record of creating content that genuinely engages an audience
- Good knowledge of domestic English football
- Photoshop and Premiere Pro skills are a bonus, though not essential
- A full UK driving licence is a bonus, though not essential
- A professional, can-do attitude with strong organisational and administrative skills
- A genuine team player who's equally comfortable working independently
- A hardworking, enthusiastic individual who takes real pride and responsibility in the quality of their work
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-moving publishing situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Personally committed to achieving agreed objectives, with the enthusiasm to match
- Open to feedback on your own behaviour, strengths and areas for improvement, and keen to keep developing
- Displays a high level of confidentiality
