Today, we are building on that legacy as a global media and information-services company powered by digital innovation, analytical rigour and evidence-based insight.
Across our three businesses
-The Economist, Economist Enterprise and Economist Education- we deliver trusted analysis and insights to individuals and organisations in more than 170 countries. United by a shared purpose to drive progress, we empower decision-makers to make sense of change and chart a course through an increasingly complex world.
As a colleague, you will be part of a culture that values ideas, encourages ownership and holds itself to high standards. We invest in people who are curious, thoughtful and adaptable, whether they are launching new products, reporting on global events or harnessing emerging technologies such as AI to improve how we work. Here, fresh thinking is taken seriously, ambition is matched by integrity, and great work is recognised.
Working across disciplines, geographies and perspectives, we are united by a commitment to innovation, excellence and creating meaningful impact.
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced marketer to join Economist Enterprise Events, part of The Economist Group, as a Senior Marketing Lead on a fixed term basis. Each year Economist Enterprise organises around 150 events for individual corporate, governmental and NGO clients called “custom events” on a range of interesting, timely subjects such as the diffusion of AI, reproductive health and political polarisation.
The successful candidate will be based out of our London office and will be responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of cross-channel marketing campaigns to secure delegate attendance for our portfolio of co-located events. These events are held in conjunction with other gatherings such as the World Economic Forum in Davos and the United Nations General Assembly.
The ideal addition to the team is a strategic thinker who can interpret data to make recommendations and has a proven track record of owning campaigns that attract, engage and retain audiences. You will create and maintain budgets and be client-facing in a marketing planning, consultative and delivery capacity. This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious team who are truly innovative and committed to delivering the very best results for our clients.
Howyou will contribute:
- Take full ownership of creating marketing strategies for our portfolio of co-located events including round tables, leaders clubs and long form multi-day events
- Develop and execute campaigns for our calendar of co-located events using a range of channels (web and email campaigns, telemarketing, social media, PPC, etc.)
- Validate potential co-located event opportunities through thorough market research and data analysis to ensure they align with our strategic portfolio goals and target audience needs.
- Provide guidance and complete clarity to marketing team members delivering co-located events, ensuring all events deliver on the defined marketing strategy and hit the required audience quantity and quality goals
- Work closely with internal marketing teams across The Economist Group to cross promote products, leverage shared audiences and maximise portfolio visibility
- Ensure all event copy and marketing messaging adheres to The Economist Group’s quality standards and editorial guidelines
- Monitor, track, and provide analysis of marketing activity and adjust campaign plans accordingly
- Regularly and proactively report on milestone tracking, campaign performance and event…
