At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. We are looking for a passionate and energetic Awareness & Activation Marketing Executive, to help bring some of Cancer Research UK’s most high-profile campaigns to life, reaching millions of people and supporting our mission to beat cancer. Working with internal teams and leading external agencies, you will develop and deliver audience-led integrated marketing campaigns across a range of channels, from TV and paid social to partnerships and print.
From shaping briefs and creative through to launch, optimisation and evaluation, this role position plays a key role in delivering brand campaigns in a fast-paced team.
- Insight & briefing
- Bring together audience insight, previous campaign learnings and channel trends to help develop clear marketing briefs, objectives and KPIs. - Support the development and production of compelling creative, working with agencies and our internal Creative Studio across multiple channels, coordinating timings, feedback, approvals and campaign set-up.
- Work with media agencies to brief against objectives, review channel plans, coordinate feedback and monitor performance, helping to optimise campaigns in-flight.
- Support campaign reporting and evaluation, turning results and learnings into recommendations that help make future campaigns even better.
- Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation and external agencies, partners and suppliers to deliver great campaigns, share best practice and drive results.
- Lead the team's monthly finance process, including raising POs, receipting, reconciliation and monitoring spend against budget.
- Campaign delivery
- Experience in delivering multi-channel campaigns and prioritising tasks from briefing through to execution, optimisation and reporting. - Creative, media & brand
- Experience working with agencies to develop and deliver multi-channel campaign activity. You will have a strong eye for detail, be confident reviewing creative against brand guidelines and campaign objectives, brief and review media plans and understand how results can be used to improve campaign effectiveness. - Insight & audiences
- An understanding of audience insight, supporter journeys and how different channels work together to deliver integrated campaigns. - Finance & budget management
- Experience of managing or supporting team finance processes including raising and receipting POs, tracking spend against budget and maintaining accurate records. - Organisation & collaboration
- Experience managing projects or campaigns involving multiple stakeholders, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate activity, prioritise competing deadlines, maintain attention to detail and build strong relationships across teams, agencies and partners. - Digital & data
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as GA4 and Copilot. - Language & numeracy skills
