Social Content Creator

We're looking for a culturally-switched-on Social Content Creator to shape how Hello Fresh and Green Chef show up organically across Tik Tok and Instagram, while also building paid hooks that amplify what's working. You're a storyteller first, someone who can capture a real moment, build a brand world, and move at the speed of culture. You work closely with Creative Strategy, PR and product teams to make sure content is joined up, whether that's amplifying a launch, staying ahead of a sensitive moment, or keeping your creative output aligned with what's happening across the broader business.

• Organic content creation (60%):
  Own the creative production for Hello Fresh and Green Chef's organic social channels, Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and Stories. Ideate, film, and edit content that feels genuinely native to each platform and each brand.
• Cultural moments and reactive content:
  You're plugged in. You spot a trend, a moment, or a cultural conversation and move fast, translating it into content that's relevant to Hello Fresh or Green Chef without feeling forced or late.
• EGC and community-first content:
  Champion employee-generated and community content that makes both brands feel human and real. Whether it's a team member's kitchen, a customer's box arrival, or a behind-the-scenes prep moment, you know how to shape raw material into something worth watching.
• Copy and community voice:
  Write captions that earn the scroll-stop and comments that make the brand feel like a person. You're in the comments sparking conversations, replying in a way that builds a following, and turning passive viewers into people who actually care about the brand.
• Brand judgement:
  You have a strong point of view and aren't afraid to use it, but you also know which hills aren't worth dying on. You can read a moment, take a calculated risk on a spiky caption, and pull back when the brand's reputation matters more than the engagement.
• Brand world content:
  Build and hold the visual and tonal brand worlds for both Hello Fresh and Green Chef, they are distinct, and you'll maintain that distinction while keeping content fresh, platform-native, and never stale.
• Documentary-style storytelling:
  You’re comfortable being front of camera. Bring depth and craft to both brands, following a Green Chef recipe from field to fork, documenting what a real week of Hello Fresh cooking looks like, or capturing the texture of life inside the business. You shoot and edit with intention.
• Paid video hooks (40%):
  Convert organic learnings into paid-ready hooks and short-form ad formats. Work with the paid social team to identify what's resonating organically and rapidly translate it into tested paid creative.
• Trend research and idea generation:
  Constantly scouting, Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube Shorts, food culture, competitor brands, and bringing a consistent pipeline of fresh ideas to the team each week.

• 3+ years in a social content, content creator, or digital media role, with a portfolio showing range across organic and paid formats.
• A genuine feel for culture and platform behaviour. You know what's trending and when to react before it fizzles out.
• Confident filming and editing across formats: short Reels, talking-head content, documentary-style sequences, and reactive lo‑fi content.
• Strong eye for brand aesthetics, you can hold two distinct brand worlds in your head and create for both without conflating them.
• Comfortable on camera, directing non-professional talent, and drawing out natural, authentic moments from colleagues or founders.
• Collaborative and organised, you can manage content calendars, shoot logistics, and cross‑team briefs without things slipping.
