Six-month paid internship

Trippant is looking for a curious, ambitious and creative person who wants to kick-start a career in marketing and communications.

This is a paid, six-month internship designed to provide hands‑on experience across the core disciplines of an international communications consultancy. The successful candidate will learn by doing, working closely with the Trippant team across strategy, PR, social media, content and account management.

The intern will begin by treating Trippant itself as their first client, helping the consultancy build its own profile, content and communications, before increasingly supporting client‑facing work alongside the wider team.

Over the six months, the intern will gain experience across five key areas:

  • Strategy, insights and trends – researching markets, audiences and cultural trends, identifying insights and helping turn them into useful communications ideas and strategies.
  • Media relations and PR – learning how stories are developed, researching journalists and media outlets, building media lists, supporting outreach and helping create press materials.
  • Social media and marketing – supporting content creation, scheduling and posting across social channels, developing creative ideas and helping assess what content performs well.
  • Thought leadership and positioning – helping develop articles, awards entries, commentary and content that builds the profiles of businesses and their senior executives.
  • Account management – learning how Trippant organises, manages and delivers work for clients, including planning, reporting, project management and maintaining strong client relationships.

Clear goals and KPIs will be agreed at the beginning of the internship, with the intention that the intern’s level of responsibility and exposure to client work will grow throughout the six-month placement.

About You

You don’t need to arrive knowing everything the point of the internship is to learn. But you should be:

  • A strong written and verbal communicator
  • Curious about marketing, communications, media and culture
  • Creative, organised and keen to solve problems
  • Comfortable taking initiative and responsibility
  • Good people skills
  • Interested in what is happening in the world and why it matters to businesses and people
  • Happy working independently as well as part of an international team
  • Keen to learn new digital tools, platforms and ways of working
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a bonus
  • An interest in areas such as sport, entertainment, technology, travel and culture would be particularly useful.
Working at Trippant

This is a six-month, paid internship, paid in line with applicable UK minimum wage requirements. The role will be remote‑first, although our aim is to bring our UK team together in London at least once a week, with three to four team members regularly working together in person. Trippant is a global business and you’ll work with people, clients and audiences across different countries and cultures.

An understanding of cultural differences and any additional language skills will therefore be a real advantage.
