Director, Public Affairs, Communications Agency

Our client is an integrated communications agency built for the Networked Age. It applies behavioural science to solve communications challenges, delivering strategies and multichannel campaigns for audiences from consumers to policy makers. With around 190 experts in London, it works with many of the world’s leading businesses and brands.

We are looking for a seasoned public affairs leader with a strong strategic mindset, an exemplary understanding of clients’ communication challenges, and a proven record in new business. As a Director, you will:

• Provide senior counsel and strategy input as an integral part of clients’ advisory teams.
• Manage a client portfolio, ensuring excellent delivery and high client satisfaction.
• Play a key role in new business, including prospecting, responding to briefs and growing existing clients.
• Support the Public Affairs leadership team on quality, retention, budgets and profitability.
• Shape public affairs strategy and help the team grow, innovate and excel.
• Maintain networks across politics, policy and business.
• Contribute to team development, resourcing, recruitment and retention.
• Act as an ambassador for Public Affairs within the agency and the wider industry.

• A seasoned public affairs practitioner with an agency background and experience of major corporate clients.
• A strong network and track record of winning new business.
• An enthusiastic team player who can inspire, lead and nurture talent.
• Well connected across politics, policy and business, ideally including the Labour Party.
