About Ark

Ark is one of the UK’s leading education charities, committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has access to high-quality education and real choices in life.

With 39 schools, a portfolio of bold, evidence-driven programmes and more than 20 years of impact, Ark is shaping the future of education across the UK.

We are a fast-paced, entrepreneurial charity with ambitious plans for growth.

About the role

As we enter an exciting phase of innovation and expansion, philanthropy has never been more vital. High-value supporters (trusts, foundations and high-net-worth individuals) play a transformative role in fuelling our mission. We are now seeking an exceptional Senior Philanthropy Manager to lead this area of work.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser to secure six-and seven-figure gifts, steward a sophisticated portfolio of supporters and leverage Ark’s unparalleled networks, including trustees who are themselves philanthropic leaders.

Who we are looking for
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive cases for support.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Proven track record of securing five-and six-figure gifts from trusts, foundations or HNWIs.
  • Experience in managing and implementing a fundraising strategy for trusts, foundations, or HNWIs.
  • Experience in developing and delivering donor strategies and managing complex relationships.
