All Souls Serve the City (ASSTC) is a Westminster-based charity with a long history of befriending, that seeks to serve those in our area who are isolated, overlooked, and exploited, bringing the message and ministry of Jesus. The charity was formed to consolidate a number of ministries that developed from within All Souls Church, an international, diverse, multigenerational, and vibrant congregation in central London with a heart to reach the city and the nations for Jesus.
We cherish our values of love, honour and service, and come alongside those affected by homelessness, those involved in the sex industry, seniors and children and families in our community.

Extract from Strategic Plan (2025)We are leaders in Christian Befriending
Our strategy is anchored by a pioneering ambition: to champion Christian Befriending in the heart of London, embodying a commitment to meaningful relationships in our communities. We aim to be leaders, cultivating authentic connections with those we serve. We uniformly apply a professionally developed framework with clear objectives to all ASSTC ministries.
The Christian Befriending scheme includes a volunteer onboarding initiative to equip our volunteers with the requisite skills and compassion for meaningful engagement with those we serve. The goal is to tangibly impact the lives of our clients and create a framework for churches and Christian charities to emulate, enabling others to embrace the power of befriending within their specific endeavours.
Strategic Priority 1:We are leaders in Christian Befriending
Engage a consultant to advise on and co-create a Christian Befriending programme that cultivates authentic, supportive relationships consistently across ministries.
Establish and implement a Befriending programme consistently across ministries.
Establish and implement a Befriending programme training for volunteers consistently across ministries.
Create training materials for churches and Christian charities to implement Christian Befriending programmes.
Throughout the course of this Strategic Planning Project, the creation of a unified Christian Befriending scheme arose as a clear, unambiguous strategic priority towards which the other strategic goals point. To effectively realise this Strategic Priority, it is imperative for ASSTC to lay a robust foundation upon which to build.
